Aaron Schneekloth is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Colorado Avalanche, Atlanta Thrashers, and Columbus Blue Jackets. He was born on July 15, 1978 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Schneekloth was drafted in the first round, 12th overall, by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He played in the NHL for parts of four seasons, from 2000–01 to 2003–04, with the Avalanche, Atlanta Thrashers, and Columbus Blue Jackets. He also played in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Hershey Bears, Lowell Lock Monsters, and Syracuse Crunch. Schneekloth retired from professional hockey in 2008 and currently works as a hockey coach in the Calgary area. He is the head coach of the Calgary Royals of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
