Abu Ishaque is a Bangladeshi novelist and short story writer. He was born on 1 November 1926 in Shirangol, Faridpur, Bengal Presidency, British India. He is best known for his novel "Kobor" (The Grave), which was published in 1962. He studied at the University of Dhaka and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1948. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Bengali literature from the same university in 1950. He began his career as a lecturer at the University of Dhaka in 1952. He later became a professor of Bengali literature at the same university. He has written several novels and short stories, including "Kobor" (The Grave), "Kobor-er Kotha" (The Story of the Grave), "Kobor-er Kotha-er Kotha" (The Story of the Story of the Grave), "Kobor-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha" (The Story of the Story of the Story of the Grave), "Kobor-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha" (The Story of the Story of the Story of the Story of the Grave), and "Kobor-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha-er Kotha" (The Story of the Story of the Story of the Story of the Story of the Grave).
