From 1983 through 1987, Alan Green was contracted to write and produce TV movies and miniseries through Orion Pictures. In the early 90s, he worked for Hollywood-Continental Films as Head of Development and Production.

After the two year training program in feature and TV production, Alan Green went on to work as an assistant director on such features as Come Back Charleston Blue (1972), "Shamus", The Exorcist--The Version You've Never Seen Before (1973), "Godfather part II", "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again", "Torch Song Trilogy", Madhouse (1990), Aces: Iron Eagle III (1992) and miniseries and series TV such as "The Awakening Land", "The Young Pioneers", "Grandpa Goes To Washington", "Brothers and Sisters", "Supertrain", "240-Robert" and "Breaking Away". Mr. Green then went on to work as a Production Manager on "Dennis The Menace", "Between Two Women", "Evilspeak" and "Die Laughing" (Part).
