During World War II, Furs was active in the Vilna Ghetto, helping to organize resistance against the Nazis. She was also involved in smuggling food and medicine into the ghetto. After the war, she moved to Israel and continued her activism, working with the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organization. Furs has been honored for her activism, receiving the Righteous Among the Nations award from Yad Vashem in 2005. She has also been honored by the Israeli government and the Jewish community. Furs is currently living in Israel. She is unmarried and has no children.
