Alexander Karmios

Alexander was originally the cinematographer of the movie The Light Touch, when it first had begun shootings back in September of 2014 in the Greek island Mykonos, with a completely different crew, besides the director. Unfortunately, sometime within the first week of principal photography, the main executive producer had a serious conflict with the "hard to work with" director of the movie Robert MacLean and fired him, so the movie got dropped, until 4 years later that it finally got finished with a different crew. But, not everything was ruined.. Actress Tess Spentzos who was then starring in the movie, became very good real-life friends with Alexander since the shootings and now both of them are already in the process of developing a new film project together, this time with Alexander in the director's chair, as well as him attempting for his first time to co-star with Tess. Stay tuned..

Was in relationship, with actress Luana Balominou. Their romance began, when they met professionally, to prepare the shootings of a music video, him as the director and her as the set designer. Funny conclusion that though they got together, the music video got canceled and was never shot. [Feb. 2011 - May 2012].

He is based in Athens, Greece / Europe and lives there most of his time. [May 2010].

February 2008: He tried to move to Paris in 2007, but he couldn't live without the Greek sunny weather and returned to Greece.

He never finished his BA on Film Studies at the NY College. He dropped college, after having his first real experiences participating a film crew in an actual movie set. While announcing to his teachers, that he was leaving, he said: " Learning film-making, is out there in the field, in doing and experiencing and not in how-to books... " [2006].

At the age of 21, while working as a bartender in Mykonos, he was cast as an extra in The Bourne Identity (2002), which was being filmed on the island. His passion for film, and the thrill of this experience, led to him attending New York College to study film. Alongside this, his experimentation in photography attracted the attention of leaders in the industry, and he found himself working for various fashion magazines, catalogs, ad campaigns, album covers, and portraiture photography for music artists and bands.

Filmmaker Alexander Karmios, half German, half Cypriot and born in Athens - Greece, was introduced early to the film and fashion industry; he was only 16 when he first participated as a model in fashion shows, character role-plays, and in various TV commercials (1997-2003).
