Alston Muziyo is a Zambian sprinter who was born on 12 November 1954. He is 66 years old. He is a two-time African champion in the 200 metres and a three-time African champion in the 400 metres. He also won a bronze medal in the 400 metres at the 1978 Commonwealth Games. Muziyo began his career in athletics in 1972, when he competed in the 200 metres at the African Championships in Nairobi, Kenya. He went on to win the African title in the 200 metres in 1974 and 1978, and the African title in the 400 metres in 1976, 1978 and 1982. Muziyo also competed in the 400 metres at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada, and the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. He also competed in the 400 metres at the 1978 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton, Canada, where he won a bronze medal. Muziyo retired from athletics in 1983. He currently lives in Lusaka, Zambia.
