Ambrosius Haingura is a Namibian politician and former Minister of Education, Arts and Culture. He was born in Kapako, Namibia, and is a member of the South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO). He has served in various ministerial positions since independence in 1990, including Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, and Minister of Home Affairs and Immigration. Haingura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Namibia, and a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of London. He is married to Dr. Ndapewa Haingura, and they have two children. Haingura is a strong advocate for education and has been instrumental in the development of the Namibian education system. He has also been involved in the development of the Namibian fishing industry, and has been a vocal advocate for the rights of Namibian fishermen. He is also a strong advocate for the rights of Namibian women and children.
