He is also the founder and chairman of the Kuwait-based venture capital firm, Al-Nahar Ventures. Nahar was born in Kuwait City, Kuwait on March 31, 1981. He attended the American University of Kuwait, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Nahar began his career in the financial services industry in 2003, working as an analyst at the Kuwait Investment Authority. In 2006, he founded Al-Nahar Group, a Kuwait-based investment firm. The firm focuses on investments in the Middle East and North Africa region. In 2011, Nahar founded Al-Nahar Ventures, a Kuwait-based venture capital firm. The firm focuses on investments in early-stage technology companies in the Middle East and North Africa region. Nahar is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), a global network of young chief executives. He is also a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), a global network of entrepreneurs. Nahar is married and has two children.
