Adam Sandurski is a Polish freestyle wrestler who was born on 8 February, 1953 in Zarzecze, Poland. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal and a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He also won a gold medal at the 1979 World Championships in San Diego, California. Sandurski began his wrestling career in the late 1960s, competing in the junior division of the Polish Wrestling Federation. He quickly rose through the ranks, winning the Polish Junior Championship in 1971 and the Polish Senior Championship in 1972. He went on to compete in the European Championships, winning a bronze medal in 1974 and a silver medal in 1975. Sandurski's greatest success came at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he won a silver medal in the freestyle wrestling event. He followed this up with a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. He also won a gold medal at the 1979 World Championships in San Diego, California. Sandurski retired from competitive wrestling in 1982 and has since become a coach and mentor to many young wrestlers. He is currently the head coach of the Polish national wrestling team.
