Ahmad Eghtedari is a 94-year-old Iranian educator who was born on 24 May, 1925 in Gerash, Fars province, Iran. He is best known for his work in the field of education, particularly in the areas of curriculum development, educational reform, and teacher training. Eghtedari received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Tehran in 1950. He then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in Education from the University of Tehran in 1954. Eghtedari has held a number of positions in the Iranian education system, including Director of the National Institute of Education, Director of the National Institute of Curriculum Development, and Director of the National Institute of Teacher Training. He has also served as a professor at the University of Tehran and the University of Isfahan. Eghtedari has written numerous books and articles on education, including The Principles of Education (1962), The Theory of Education (1966), and The Practice of Education (1970). He has also served as an advisor to the Iranian Ministry of Education and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Eghtedari is married and has two children.
