Alan Thomson (born June 19, 1961 in Montreal) is a Canadian sprint canoer who competed during the mid-1980s. He was eliminated in the semifinals of the K-1 1000 m event at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He coached the Canadian Canoe Kayak team at the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis USA.
