Timeline

2003

A Creative Writing major at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis, with minor certificates in Film Studies and Sociology, Alberto Diaz was the son of deceased Cuban Refugee Alberto Diaz Sr. and United States born Geraldine Diaz (production designer and collaborator). Alberto began making video movies with friends at 14 and took his passion for cinema into college and adulthood. Bussed (2003) is his first attempt at making a commercial film by combining both the literary works of Edgar Allen Poe and the visual style of his filmmaking heroes Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorcese and Wim Wenders to make a dreamy, realist black comedy about obsession and madness. Alberto has also worked with several national bands developing creative and innovative concert videos for such talents like Blue Sky Goodbye.
