Alfonso Lovo Cordero was born on 11 June, 1927 in Nicaragua. He was a politician and served as the President of Nicaragua from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of the Conservative Party of Nicaragua and was a strong supporter of the Somoza family. Lovo Cordero was educated at the University of Nicaragua and the University of Costa Rica. He was a lawyer by profession and was a member of the Nicaraguan Bar Association. Lovo Cordero was a member of the Conservative Party of Nicaragua and was a strong supporter of the Somoza family. He was appointed as the Minister of Education in 1967 and served in this position until 1972. He was then elected as the President of Nicaragua in 1972 and served in this position until 1974. Lovo Cordero was a strong advocate of free market policies and was a strong supporter of the United States. He was also a strong opponent of the Sandinista National Liberation Front. Lovo Cordero died on 11 June, 2018 at the age of 91. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
