Ali Akbar Ghoreishi was an Iranian poet, writer, and literary critic. He was born in Bonab, East Azerbaijan, in 1928. He studied Persian literature at the University of Tehran and later taught at the University of Tabriz. He was a member of the Iranian Writers Association and the Iranian Academy of Arts. Ghoreishi was a prolific writer, having published more than 30 books of poetry, fiction, and literary criticism. His works include the poetry collections The Garden of Poetry, The Book of the Sun, and The Book of the Moon, as well as the novels The House of the Sun and The House of the Moon. He also wrote several plays, including The House of the Sun and The House of the Moon. Ghoreishi was a prominent figure in Iranian literature and was awarded the Order of Merit by the Iranian government in recognition of his contributions to the field. He died in Tehran in 2020 at the age of 95.
