Alireza Ali-Ahmadi is an Iranian physicist and professor of physics at the University of Tehran. He is a member of the Iranian Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Physical Society. He is best known for his work on quantum field theory, string theory, and cosmology. Born on 11 May 1959 in Tehran, Iran, Ali-Ahmadi is the son of a prominent Iranian physicist, Ali-Akbar Ali-Ahmadi. He received his B.Sc. in physics from the University of Tehran in 1981 and his Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1988. Ali-Ahmadi has held various positions at the University of Tehran, including professor of physics, head of the Department of Physics, and dean of the Faculty of Science. He has also held visiting positions at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Oxford. Ali-Ahmadi has published numerous papers in the fields of quantum field theory, string theory, and cosmology. He is the author of the book Quantum Field Theory and Its Applications (World Scientific, 2006). As of 2021, Alireza Ali-Ahmadi's net worth is estimated to be roughly $1 million.
