Alkistis Protopsalti is a Greek singer and songwriter. She is best known for her work in the Greek music industry, having released over 20 albums since her debut in 1979. She has also collaborated with many other Greek artists, including Mikis Theodorakis, Manos Hadjidakis, and Stavros Xarchakos. Protopsalti was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to Greek parents. She moved to Greece in 1967, and began her music career in 1979 with the release of her debut album, "Ola Ta Tragoudia Mou". Since then, she has released over 20 albums, and has collaborated with many other Greek artists. Protopsalti has won numerous awards, including the Greek Music Awards for Best Female Singer in 2000, and the Greek Music Awards for Best Album in 2002. She has also been nominated for the Greek Music Awards for Best Female Singer in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Protopsalti is currently married to Greek actor and director, Kostas Voutsas. They have two children together.
