Aminu Isa Kontagora is a Nigerian politician and former military officer who served as the Governor of Niger State from 1999 to 2007. He was born on 1956 in Kontagora, Niger State, Nigeria. Kontagora attended the Nigerian Military School in Zaria and the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Nigerian Army in 1979. He served in various capacities in the Nigerian Army, including as a platoon commander, a company commander, and a battalion commander. He was also a member of the Nigerian Peace Keeping Force in Liberia. Kontagora retired from the Nigerian Army in 1999 and was elected Governor of Niger State in the same year. He served as Governor until 2007. Kontagora is married to Hajiya Aisha Kontagora and they have four children. As of 2021, Aminu Isa Kontagora's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
