Andrew Wright is a former English cricketer who was born on 30 June, 1980 in Peterborough. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his first-class debut for Northamptonshire in 2001 and went on to play for the county until his retirement in 2011. Wright has represented England at Under-19 level and has also played for the England Lions. He has also played in the Indian Cricket League and the Bangladesh Premier League. Wright has scored over 5,000 first-class runs and taken over 200 wickets. He has also scored over 1,000 runs in List A cricket and taken over 100 wickets. Wright is currently the head coach of the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. He is married and has two children.
