He is best known for his appearances on the television shows Everybody Loves Raymond, Late Show with David Letterman, and The Larry Sanders Show. Kindler attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, where he earned a degree in philosophy. After college, he moved to Los Angeles and began performing stand-up comedy. He has since appeared on numerous television shows, including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Kindler has also written for television shows, including The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers. He has also released several comedy albums, including I Wish I Was Bitter and I Kind of Like It.
