Anita Björk was a Swedish actress who was active in the film industry from 1945 to 1975. She was best known for her roles in the films "The Seventh Seal" (1957), "The Virgin Spring" (1960), and "The Silence" (1963). Anita Björk was born on 25 April 1923 in Tällberg, Dalarna, Sweden. She was the daughter of a farmer and had two siblings. She attended school in Stockholm and then studied acting at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. Anita Björk made her film debut in 1945 in the film "The Seventh Seal". She went on to appear in over 30 films, including "The Virgin Spring" (1960), "The Silence" (1963), and "The Emigrants" (1971). She also appeared in several television series, including "The Adventures of Bullerby Village" (1966-1967). Anita Björk was married to actor and director Stig Olin from 1945 until his death in 2008. She had two children with him. Anita Björk died on 15 April 2012 in Stockholm, Sweden, at the age of 88. She was buried in the Norra begravningsplatsen cemetery in Stockholm.
