Arkadi Arkanov is a Soviet and Russian actor, writer, and soundtrack composer. He is best known for his roles in the films The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! (1975), The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed (1979), and The Very Same Munchhausen (1979). Arkadi Arkanov was born on 7 June 1933 in Kiev, Ukraine. He graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Theatre Arts in 1956. He began his career as an actor in the Kiev State Theatre of Young Spectators. In 1975, Arkanov starred in the Soviet romantic comedy The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!, which became one of the most popular films in the Soviet Union. He also starred in the 1979 films The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed and The Very Same Munchhausen. In addition to his acting career, Arkanov has also composed soundtracks for several films, including The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath! and The Very Same Munchhausen.
