Armand Razafindratandra was a Malagasy politician and diplomat who served as the Prime Minister of Madagascar from 1975 to 1976. He was born in Ambohimalaza, Madagascar, on 7 August 1925. He studied at the University of Madagascar and the University of Paris. Razafindratandra was a member of the National Assembly of Madagascar from 1972 to 1975. He was appointed Prime Minister of Madagascar in 1975 and served until 1976. He was also the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1975 to 1976. Razafindratandra was a member of the Malagasy Socialist Revolutionary Movement (MSRM) and was a close ally of President Didier Ratsiraka. He was also a member of the African Union and the United Nations. Razafindratandra died on 28 April 2020 at the age of 85. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
