After weeks of hard work in the editing room, the stunning "Chapter 2" was sent to international film festivals and was received very well: officially selected for Washougal International Film Festival (2008), officially selected in Digifestival.
On May 10, 2007, Jowkar chose to leave the team he had worked so long for and move to United States of America to continue his dream of filmmaking. And in less than five months, he wrote a short film called "Chapter 2. " Using resources available to him from Normandale Community College and local actors, Jowkar organized and shot the film in three days.
On November 13, 2005, he received a call from a movie group called Quack Film. Kambiz Moshiri (director, screenwriter, songwriter, actor) invited Jowkar to join the group as a screenwriter for their upcoming show. He accepted and joined the team. While working on the show, Kambiz Moshiri saw Jowkar's passion for learning new things, so he decided to teach Jowkar how to edit film. In less than two months Avesta Jowkar embarked on a new branch of his filmmaking career, as a video editor. Kambiz Moshiri started shooting music videos and Jowkar picked up advanced cinema tricks.
Avesta Jowkar was born in Tehran, Iran in 1986. He attended Khayyam University of Science in Mashhad, majoring in mathematics and science. Jowkar started his career as a redactor of Khayyam University Theater Club, named Deep Breath. After only a year of working with the students, the principal of the university unfortunately ordered for the club to be closed. About a year after, Jowkar came back to Tehran and started working as a co-writer with Nasrin Moradi in Koocheye Ma (Our Alley) magazine. Learning much from the Moradi family and their magazine, he earned a page in the periodical within a year. He called the page: "Brainstorming of a Disable Brain. " He began writing about societal issues in a comedic fashion. For a long period of time his page remained number one in uptown Tehran. While he was working for the magazine, Jowkar began writing scripts and concepts for the future.
