He has also directed the romantic comedy Hello Stranger (2010) and the action film P-047 (2015). Pisanthanakun was born on 11 September 1979 in Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated from the Faculty of Communication Arts at Chulalongkorn University in 2002. Pisanthanakun's first feature film was the horror film Shutter (2004), which he co-directed with Parkpoom Wongpoom. The film was a commercial and critical success, and was remade in the United States in 2008. He followed this up with the horror film Alone (2007), which was also a success. In 2009, Pisanthanakun directed the horror anthology film Phobia 2, which was a box office success. He then directed the romantic comedy Hello Stranger (2010), which was a moderate success.
