Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba is a Nigerian politician and former Governor of Anambra State. He was born in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria. He attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science in 1979. He later obtained a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the same university in 1983. Ozumba was elected Governor of Anambra State in 2003 and served until 2007. During his tenure, he initiated several projects, including the construction of the Anambra International Airport, the Anambra State University, and the Anambra State Polytechnic. He also initiated the Anambra State Investment Promotion Agency, which was designed to attract foreign investors to the state. Ozumba is currently a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and is a member of the Nigerian Senate. He is also a member of the Nigerian National Assembly. He is married to Mrs. Ngozi Ozumba and they have four children.
