Besueri Kiwanuka Lusse Mulondo was born in Uganda on 12 March 1926. He was the first Prime Minister of Uganda, serving from 1962 to 1966. He was also the first Chief Justice of Uganda, serving from 1966 to 1971. He was a prominent leader in the struggle for independence from British colonial rule in Uganda. Mulondo was educated at Makerere University College in Kampala, Uganda, and at the University of London. He was a lawyer by profession and was a member of the Uganda Legislative Council from 1958 to 1962. He was also a member of the Uganda National Assembly from 1962 to 1966. Mulondo was a prominent leader in the struggle for independence from British colonial rule in Uganda. He was a strong advocate for the rights of the people of Uganda and was a major force in the negotiations that led to Uganda's independence in 1962. Mulondo was a member of the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) and was a close ally of President Milton Obote. He was appointed Prime Minister in 1962 and served until 1966. He was then appointed Chief Justice of Uganda in 1966 and served until 1971. Mulondo was a strong advocate for the rights of the people of Uganda and was a major force in the negotiations that led to Uganda's independence in 1962. He was also a strong advocate for the rights of women and children in Uganda. Mulondo passed away on 28 April, 2016 at the age of 90. He was survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
