Börje Ekedahl is a Swedish bobsledder who was born on 21 August, 1928. He is best known for his participation in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, where he won a bronze medal in the four-man bobsleigh event. Ekedahl began his career in bobsleigh in the early 1950s, and competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway. He also competed in the 1954 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, where he won a silver medal in the four-man bobsleigh event. In 1956, Ekedahl won a bronze medal in the four-man bobsleigh event at the Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. He also competed in the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California, USA, where he finished in fourth place in the four-man bobsleigh event. Ekedahl retired from bobsleigh in the early 1960s, and has since become a successful businessman. He is currently 78 years old.
