Boris Gersht is a Russian film director, actor, and writer. He is best known for his work in the Soviet Union and Russia, where he has directed and acted in numerous films and television series. Gersht was born in Rostov-na-Donu, USSR, on 5 June 1937. He graduated from the Rostov State University of Arts and Culture in 1960, and then went on to study at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. Gersht has directed over 30 films and television series, including the popular Soviet comedy series "The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin" (1975-1977). He has also acted in several films, including "The Irony of Fate" (1975) and "The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed" (1979). Gersht has won numerous awards for his work, including the State Prize of the Russian Federation in 2000, and the Order of Friendship in 2006. He is also a member of the Russian Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Gersht's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
