Boyd Holbrook is an American actor and fashion model. He is best known for his roles in the films Gone Girl (2014), Logan (2017), and The Predator (2018). He has also appeared in television series such as Narcos (2015–2016) and Runaways (2017–2018). Holbrook was born on September 1, 1981 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he studied acting. Holbrook began his career as a fashion model, appearing in campaigns for brands such as Calvin Klein, Gucci, and Versace. He made his acting debut in the film Milk (2008). He has since appeared in films such as Out of the Furnace (2013), A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014), and The Skeleton Twins (2014). In 2015, Holbrook was cast in the Netflix series Narcos, playing DEA agent Steve Murphy. He also starred in the Hulu series Runaways, playing the villain Jonah. In 2017, he starred in the film Logan, playing the villain Donald Pierce. He also starred in the 2018 film The Predator, playing the lead role of Quinn McKenna. Holbrook is currently married to actress and model Elizabeth Olsen.
