Bozhidar Rangelov is a Bulgarian rower who was born on 15 April, 1955 in Bulgaria. He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won gold in the men's coxless fours at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He also won a bronze medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Rangelov began his rowing career in 1972 and competed in his first international competition in 1975. He was a member of the Bulgarian national rowing team from 1975 to 1988 and was the team captain from 1983 to 1988. Rangelov is 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in) tall and weighs 85 kg (187 lb). He is married and has two children. Rangelov is currently the president of the Bulgarian Rowing Federation and is a member of the International Rowing Federation's Hall of Fame.
