He is also the founder of Bruce Allen Talent, one of the largest talent agencies in Canada. Allen was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on May 19, 1945. He attended the University of British Columbia and graduated with a degree in English Literature. Allen began his career in the music industry in the late 1960s, working as a promoter for local bands in Vancouver. In the 1970s, he began managing the careers of Canadian rockers Bryan Adams and Anne Murray. He also managed the careers of other Canadian artists such as Tom Cochrane, Corey Hart, and Glass Tiger. In the 1980s, Allen founded Bruce Allen Talent, one of the largest talent agencies in Canada. He has since managed the careers of many Canadian artists, including Shania Twain, Michael Bublé, and Celine Dion. Allen has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame. He has also been awarded the Order of Canada and the Order of British Columbia.
