2014

2014 Bryant won 2nd place at 24hr Dallas Video Race for his film "Daydreaming" and in 2015 won 3rd place in the 24hr Dallas Video Race for his short "Holy of Hoagies". Teaming up with Charlie Vann, him and Bryant created the Dallas media company Wide Range Appeal.

2012

Then in 2012 Bryant wrote and directed the short film "Snuff" with Charlie Vann and fellow Obi Citizen Ethan Jasperson. Snuff played at the Show Your Shorts at Texas Theater, that same year his 2nd mockumentary "The Lawnranger" played at Texas Theater.

2011

The film was completed, but was not released in his full form till 2011.

2010

" 2010 saw Bryant's team win 3rd place at the 9th Annual 24hr Dallas Video Race for his short film "Grief Burger"Bryant created his own independent production company called "Varnell Pictures". He's first film with his new company was the mockumentary called "The Acoustic Kid".

2007

2007 Obi City wrote and Bryant directed a sketch comedy film called "Obi City: the movie". The film contained several original shorts, and also contained the first incarnation of The Terror of Emory. The film was inspired by such sketch comedy films as Amazon Women on the Moon and Kentucky Fried Movie. The film was submitted to then USA Dallas Film Festival. Bryant also hosted his own TV show that satires bad cable access shows called "Talking with Bryant Varnell.

2004

2004 saw the creation of the sketch comedy group "Obi City" With several sketches written (Retro-Cop, My Neighbor the Cannibal), the group grew from middle school to high school.

In the summer of 2004 Obi City filmed their first film called The Terror of Emory (later renamed The Terror of Obi City). It was a parody of the old Godzilla films, with cardboard animations.
