A Seattle bankruptcy court awarded the Seattle Pilots to a group headed by Selig for $10,800,000. The Pilots were moved and renamed the Milwaukee Brewers after a minor league team Selig followed growing up. He maintains a financial interest in the team, placed in a trust. His daughter, Brewers chairwoman Wendy Selig-Prieb, announced on 16 January 2004 that the team is being put up for sale. (1 April 1970)
