From 2003-2005, wrote a Miles Davis biopic titled "Miles Ahead" on spec under the direction of Cheryl Davis and Vincent Wilburn, Jr. of the Miles Davis estate.

1993

Once signed a record deal as a rapper and producer in 1993 while still enlisted on active-duty in the US Navy. After learning the business side of the industry, he realized it was more profitable to become a manager and label owner instead of being an artist.

1982

Since his childhood in Shreveport, Louisiana, Cairo is still a fan of American-built motorcycles. His dad and multiple uncles have owned several Harleys each dating back to the 60s. In 1982, his father was a co-founding member of the all-black Harley Davidson motorcycle club called "The Freedom Riders".

1967

His mentor, Andrew "Black Jack" Jackson (a former-Chicago gangster and concert promoter turned record label exec), holds the distinct honor of being the first to book the legendary Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye in Chicago on Friday, October 13, 1967. Black Jack started his musical career working in promotions for Cadillac Records as a teen in the 1950s.
