He is best known for his work on films such as The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Dark Knight. Breen began his career in the art department of the television series The Waltons in 1975. He then went on to work on films such as The Blues Brothers, The Color Purple, and The Shawshank Redemption. He has also worked on television series such as The X-Files, The West Wing, and The Sopranos. Breen has been nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Art Direction for his work on The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
