Charles Wolf (basketball) is a former American basketball coach. He was born on May 7, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky, where he played basketball and graduated in 1949. Wolf began his coaching career at the University of Kentucky, where he served as an assistant coach from 1949 to 1951. He then moved on to become the head coach at the University of Louisville from 1951 to 1956. During his tenure at Louisville, Wolf led the Cardinals to two NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT appearance. Wolf then moved on to become the head coach at the University of Cincinnati from 1956 to 1962. During his tenure at Cincinnati, Wolf led the Bearcats to two NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT appearance. Wolf then moved on to become the head coach at the University of Dayton from 1962 to 1966. During his tenure at Dayton, Wolf led the Flyers to two NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT appearance. Wolf then moved on to become the head coach at the University of Toledo from 1966 to 1970. During his tenure at Toledo, Wolf led the Rockets to one NCAA Tournament appearance and one NIT appearance.
