Charlotte Rampling is an English actress, model, and singer. She began her career in the 1960s and has since appeared in numerous films, television series, and stage productions. She has won numerous awards, including a BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in the film 45 Years (2015). She has also been nominated for two Academy Awards, for her roles in The Verdict (1982) and The Wings of the Dove (1997).
Rampling has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1960s, appearing in films such as Georgy Girl (1966), The Damned (1969), Stardust Memories (1980), The Verdict (1982), The Wings of the Dove (1997), and Swimming Pool (2003). She has also appeared in television series such as The Avengers (1966–67), The New Avengers (1976–77), and Dexter (2006–13).
Rampling has been married twice, first to Bryan Southcombe from 1967 to 1976, and then to Jean-Noël Tassez from 1984 to 1996. She has two children, Barnaby and Martha.
