Chu Ting-shun is a Taiwanese politician who served as the Minister of the Interior from 1993 to 1996. He was born on 30 November 1928 in Hengchun, Pingtung County, Taiwan. He graduated from National Taiwan University in 1951 and obtained a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California in 1962. Chu Ting-shun began his political career in the 1950s, when he was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Taiwan Provincial Government's Civil Affairs Bureau. He then served as the Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau from 1965 to 1967. In 1967, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of the Interior and served in that position until 1971. Chu Ting-shun was appointed as the Minister of the Interior in 1993 and served in that position until 1996. During his tenure, he was responsible for the implementation of the National Health Insurance program and the establishment of the National Immigration Agency.
