Cláudia Alencar is a Brazilian actress, production designer, and art director. She is best known for her roles in the films "The Man Who Copied" (2003) and "The Year My Parents Went on Vacation" (2006). She has also appeared in numerous television series, including "A Grande Família" (2001-2006) and "Amor Eterno Amor" (2012-2013). Alencar was born on 12 July 1950 in São Paulo, Brazil. She began her career in the theater in the 1970s, and made her film debut in the 1981 drama "O Homem que Copiou". She has since appeared in over 30 films and television series. Alencar has been married twice, first to actor Paulo Betti and then to actor and director José Wilker. She has two children, a daughter from her first marriage and a son from her second. Alencar is an active member of the Brazilian film industry, and has served as a jury member for the São Paulo International Film Festival. She is also a member of the Brazilian Academy of Cinema Arts and Sciences.
