Composer, songwriter ("The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down"), author and pianist, educated at the Cincinnati College and Conservatory. He was a test pilot at Wright Field. After three years as accompanist to Harry Richman in vaudeville, he was featured in English music halls, and later throughout the world. He wrote the Broadway stage scores for "Piggy" and "George White's Scandals of 1929", and songs for "Bombo" and "The Passing Show of 1921".
