Cornelius Boza-Edwards is a Ugandan former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1998. He held the WBA super featherweight title from 1983 to 1985, and the WBC super featherweight title from 1985 to 1986. He was born on 27 May 1956 in Kampala, Uganda. Boza-Edwards began his professional career in 1977, and won his first world title in 1983 when he defeated Ernesto Espana to become the WBA super featherweight champion. He successfully defended the title three times before losing it to Juan LaPorte in 1985. He then won the WBC super featherweight title in 1986, but lost it in his first defense against Azumah Nelson. Boza-Edwards retired from boxing in 1998 with a record of 56 wins (31 by knockout) and 8 losses. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2006.
