Cyril Morin is an Academy member, a multi-award winning composer, who has scored numerous soundtracks for both film and television. He is re-known throughout the international press for his long lasting "multiple talents (Variety)". His score for the critically acclaimed "Samsara" (directed by Pan Nalin), won honors at AFI and festivals in Santa Barbara and Melbourne. The soundtrack continues to be a hit internationally, garnering many dedicated fans, and has made Morin something of a cult composer. He was nominated for a World Soundtrack Award and a European Film Award for "The Syrian Bride", and his score for "Little Jerusalem" (directed by Karin Albou with Elsa Zylberstein), which screened during Critics week at the Cannes Film Festival, earning him two awards. His music for "That Day," directed by Jacob Berger, was cited as being "a wonderfully varied and evocative score. . . " by The Hollywood Reporter. Other projects include "A Simple Heart" (the Flaubert adaptation with Sandrine Bonaire), "Ultimatum" (with Gaspard Uliel) and the Eran Riklis's "Human Resources Manager" (with Mark Ivanir), which won Best Score in Vallaloid, Spain. Morin has also worked on numerous TV features, documentaries and the critically acclaimed series "Mafiosa" (directed by Louis Choquette with Hélène Filières) and "Borgia" (directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel , a Tom Fontana series). He scored Zhou Sun's "I Do" (with Li Bingbing), and also Eran Riklis's "Playoff" (with Danny Huston) and "Zaytoun" (with Steven Dorff), which screened at the Toronto film festival, AFI and London film festivals. Zaytoun's score get a nomination for the Jerry Goldsmith Awards. The music for the documentary "Faith Connections" gave him an other nomination for the Jerry Goldsmith Awards. Since the 90's, Morin has produced over 30 albums, soundtracks and solo albums for his own label, Massive Music. He has also orchestrated songs for Madonna, Mirwais, Kery James and the Indian singer Vidya Rao. Also a solo artist, Morin's "The Evolutionist" has been hailed a "cinematic journey" and "a beautiful fusion of sound" by critics. Cyril Morin is doing his directorial and producer debut. He directed "The Application Café", a short film shot in the California desert, which touches upon the American myth. In 2013, he wrote and directed The Activist, a thriller about American political unrest regarding the Native Americans at Wounded Knee.
