Danilo Heredia is a Venezuelan cyclist who was born on 26 September, 1927. He is best known for his achievements in the sport of cycling, having won multiple national and international titles. He has also been inducted into the Venezuelan Cycling Hall of Fame. Danilo Heredia began his cycling career in the 1940s and quickly rose to prominence in the sport. He won the Venezuelan National Road Race Championship in 1951 and 1952, and the Venezuelan National Time Trial Championship in 1953. He also won the Pan American Road Race Championship in 1954 and the South American Road Race Championship in 1955. In addition to his success in the sport, Danilo Heredia was also a successful businessman. He owned a bicycle shop in Caracas, Venezuela, and was a major sponsor of the Venezuelan cycling team. He was also a member of the Venezuelan Cycling Federation and served as its president from 1965 to 1967. Danilo Heredia passed away on April 15, 2020, at the age of 96. He was survived by his wife, two sons, and four grandchildren.
