He also directed the feature film The Waltons' Christmas Reunion in 1994. Crockett was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1946. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in English. After college, he moved to Los Angeles and began working in the film industry. Crockett has been married to his wife, Mary, since 1971. They have two children, a son and a daughter. Crockett has been nominated for several awards, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for The Waltons in 1975. He has also been nominated for a Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series for The Waltons in 1977.
