David Farquhar (politician) is an Australian politician who was born on 3 March 1927. He was a member of the Australian House of Representatives from 1975 to 1983, representing the Division of Macarthur in New South Wales. Farquhar was educated at the University of Sydney, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He worked as a teacher and a lecturer before entering politics. Farquhar was elected to the House of Representatives in 1975, and served as a member of the Liberal Party. He was re-elected in 1977 and 1980, but was defeated in 1983. Farquhar was a strong advocate for the rights of veterans, and was a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee. He was also a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade. Farquhar is now retired and lives in Sydney. He is 82 years old.
