David Perron

On January 11, 2020, Perron was voted into the 2020 National Hockey League All-Star Game along with Mitch Marner, Quinn Hughes, and T. J. Oshie.

On July 1, 2018, Perron signed a four-year, $16 million contract to return to the Blues for a third time. He and the club won their first-ever Stanley Cup, defeating the Boston Bruins in seven games. He scored 16 points in 26 games.

On June 21, 2017, Perron's stint with the Blues was cut short as he was left exposed and selected by the Vegas Golden Knights at the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. In his lone season with the club, he recorded a career-high 66 points in 70 games. The Golden Knights also reached the Stanley Cup Finals, but lost in five games to the Washington Capitals. Perron scored nine points in 15 postseason games.

On January 16, 2016, Perron (alongside Adam Clendening) was traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Carl Hagelin. He recorded more points with the Ducks in less games than he played with the Penguins (20 points in 28 games versus 16 points in 43 games).

On July 1, 2016, Perron signed a two-year, $7.5 million contract to return to the Blues. He recorded his third career hat trick on October 23 in a 6-4 win over the Calgary Flames. Perron also improved on his previous season's struggles, scoring 46 points in 82 games.

On January 2, 2015, Perron was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Rob Klinkhammer and a 2015 first-round pick. He made his debut a night later, scoring the Penguins lone goal in a 4–1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. He finished the 2014-15 season with 41 points in 81 games.

On July 10, 2013, Perron was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Magnus Paajarvi and a 2014 second-round pick. In his first season with the club, he scored a then-career-high 57 points.

Perron scored his first NHL hat trick on November 10, 2009, against the Vancouver Canucks. During the summer of 2010, Perron signed a two-year contract worth $4.3 million with the Blues. Perron scored five goals in his first ten games of the 2010–11 season. He sustained a concussion on November 4, 2010, after taking an elbow to the temple from the San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton, and missed 13 months to recover. An injury-shortened 2011–12 NHL season saw Perron score 42 points in 57 games played. That post-season he scored the series winning goal of the Blues' first round matchup against the San Jose Sharks by deflecting Alex Pietrangelo's shot into the net breaking a 1-1 tie with 8 minutes remaining in game 5 on April 21, 2012. On July 5, 2012, Perron signed a four-year, $15.25 million contract with the Blues.

Perron was selected in the first round, 26th pick by the St. Louis Blues in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. On October 2, 2007, it was confirmed that Perron would start the season with the Blues after an impressive training camp. His progression was impressive because, less than three years before playing his first NHL game, he was still playing at the Midget B level in his hometown of Fleurimont. On November 3, 2007, Perron scored his first career goal against the Chicago Blackhawks. He finished his rookie season with 13 goals and 27 points in 62 games.

He played with the Saint-Jérôme Panthers of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League for 51 games in the 2005–06 season. He then had an excellent rookie season in the QMJHL, leading the Lewiston Maineiacs in scoring with 39 goals and 83 points in 70 games played. The Maineiacs won the President's Cup and participated in the Memorial Cup.

As a youth, Perron played in the 2001 and 2002 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with minor ice hockey teams from Sherbrooke.

David Perron (born May 28, 1988) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 26th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Blues. He has also played for the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks and Vegas Golden Knights. Perron won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Blues in 2019.
