David Taylor is a British politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for North West Leicestershire from 1992 to 2019. He was born on 14 March 1954 in Forfar, Scotland. Taylor was educated at the University of Edinburgh, where he studied law. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1979. He worked as a barrister in Leicester from 1979 to 1992. Taylor was first elected to Parliament in 1992, and held his seat until 2019. During his time in Parliament, he served as a Minister of State for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from 2003 to 2007. He was also a member of the House of Commons Agriculture Select Committee from 1997 to 2003. Taylor is married to his wife, Sarah, and they have two children. He is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing golf and tennis. As of 2021, David Taylor's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
