David Van Woert

David Scott Van Woert is the Supervising Creative Producer of the San Francisco based agency, Transparent House. For the past four years David has been instrumental in transforming the company from a visualization studio to a full-service agency of record, and has directed and produced dozens of projects for clients including HP, Samsung, Nokia, Simple Human, Vizio, Chevrolet, Five Point, Kilroy, and Maximus. Before joining Transparent House, David was the Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Identity FX, Inc. (IDFX), a Los Angeles based Visual Effects and Stereoscopic 3D studio. From 2004 to 2014, David produced more than 150 projects at IDFX, working with clients such as 3NET, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures, NBC Universal, Dreamworks, Columbia Pictures, Millenium Films, The Weinstein Company, Discovery Channel, Dimension Films, Magnolia Pictures and many more, working on such recent titles as Smurfs 2, The Amazing Spider Man, Prometheus, Green Lantern, The Chronicles of Narnia, Conan the Barbarian, Hancock, Transformers, and America's Next Top Model, as well as music videos for The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sarah McLachlan, Keith Urban, and Run DMC, and commercials for Nike, Google, McDonalds, and Xbox.

In 2001, he won awards for his direction of Neil Labute's Bash and Wendy Wasserstein's Waiting for Phillip Glass at the Black Box Theater in San Francisco.

From 1999 to 2002, he served as a cameraman for HoopsTV, Media Director for Youth Speaks, and Field Producer for ON24.

In 1999, David co-founded San Francisco based Shockwave Pictures, a digital media studio whose client list he built to include Bill Graham Presents, SFX, Palm Pictures, Youth Speaks, SunTrust, BankOne, and the musicians Michael Franti of Spearhead and Martin Luther. During this time David directed corporate videos and commercials for several Bay Area firms and co-produced music videos for Shelley Streeter and MC Hammer.

David's production experience spans more than 25 years; since 1993 he has been credited as 1st Assistant Director, Associate Producer, Director and Producer on dozens of projects from independent feature films to music videos and commercials.
