Dennis Talbot is an Australian former professional boxer who competed from 1975 to 1985. He held the Australian middleweight title from 1979 to 1981, and the Commonwealth middleweight title from 1980 to 1981. Talbot was born on 18 April 1954 in Rylstone, New South Wales. He began boxing at the age of 15, and had his first professional fight in 1975. He won the Australian middleweight title in 1979, and the Commonwealth middleweight title in 1980. He defended the Commonwealth title twice before losing it in 1981. Talbot retired from boxing in 1985 with a record of 28 wins (17 by knockout), 8 losses and 1 draw. Talbot is married and has two children. He currently works as a boxing trainer and promoter.
