Denys Yurchenko is a Ukrainian pole vaulter who was born on 27 January, 1978 in Donetsk, Ukraine. He is currently 46 years old. Yurchenko is a two-time Olympian, having competed in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics. He is a three-time European Indoor Champion, having won the title in 2000, 2002 and 2004. He is also a two-time World Indoor Championships bronze medalist, having won the medal in 2001 and 2003. Yurchenko has also won numerous other medals at international competitions, including gold medals at the 2001 European U23 Championships, the 2002 European Cup, and the 2003 World Athletics Final. Yurchenko's personal best jump is 5.90 meters, which he achieved in 2003. He is currently the Ukrainian record holder in the pole vault. Yurchenko is married and has two children. He is currently the head coach of the Ukrainian national pole vault team.
